On Aqeel. He was one of last seasons new recruits, and impressed from the start with his ability to hit the deck hard with the ball. He’s been a great bowling option thus far, and gave us some big wickets last season. His best figures were 3/6, as he took 14 wickets at a handy average of 15.21. Not a bad return for his first season in many years. Aqeel returns with a fire in his belly, to kick on and make a name for himself in this coming season.

Off the field, Aqeel is one of the nicest guys at the club. He is a cool operator, unflappable in temperament and always offers a word of support for his teammates in training and in matches. Opponents should however be wary of the smiling assassin, he’s only ever one bouncer away from troubling your grill!
